Changing your control panel password

Updated 1 month ago 13 views

Your control panel password also protects FTP and phpMyAdmin, so it is worth keeping strong.

To change it

  1. Log in to your control panel.
  2. Find Change Password (usually near the top of the panel or under your account name).
  3. Enter your current password, then your new one twice.
  4. Save.

Choosing a good password

  • At least 12 characters.
  • A mix of upper and lower case, numbers and a symbol.
  • Not reused from another site.

A password manager will generate and remember one for you.

If you have forgotten it

You do not need it to reach the panel — use the Open panel button from Services in your dashboard, which signs you in automatically. If you need the password reset for FTP or phpMyAdmin, open a support ticket and we will reset it for you.
